Oxysise is a special system of exercises and breathing that helps to get rid of excess weight without significant physical exertion. The author of the technique is an American teacher Jill Johnson, who was not professionally engaged in either dietetics or physiology. This fact gives skeptics the right to criticize the methodology, but the practical results of training refute all skeptical predictions. In this case, the desire to reduce one's weight in practice defeated theoretical training, because the first experimental person was the author of the technique herself.

The oxy-sise technique is very similar to the bodyflex exercise complex, but it has its own characteristics. The effect is achieved, which is given by oxy-sizing due to special stretching and static poses in combination with deep breathing. At the same time, deep breathing does not require holding your breath, so the complex can be practiced by people with retinal detachment. The oxysise complex, in consultation with a therapist or gynecologist, is recommended for older people and pregnant women.

Unlike bodyflex, which is practiced in the morning on an empty stomach, oxy-sizing can be practiced without paying attention to meal times and at any time of the day. Such a wide range of opportunities will really appeal to mothers on maternity leave, who have free time only when the baby is asleep.

And so, let's proceed directly to the basic breathing technique of oxysize.

1. Inhale as follows: quickly through the nose. Breathing is carried out by the abdomen (diaphragm breathing), while the air passing through the nose is heated sufficiently.

2. Smile broadly, stretching your lips at the corners of your mouth into a wide smile as you inhale. The exercise helps to correct and load the facial muscles, as well as expand the nostrils. In addition, a person acquires a sense of control over his muscles.

3. Prepare for a very deep breath by relaxing your abdominal muscles as much as possible.

4. Lift your lower abdomen by taking a deep breath and pulling in your stomach.

5. Squeeze your buttocks as follows: lift and pull in as tightly as possible.

6. Squeeze and tighten the muscles of the perineum (pelvic floor).

7. Take three additional breaths through your nose, filling your lungs with air as much as possible. Such breaths will help to load the muscles of the abdomen, neck and face.

8. Exhale should be special: imagine that you are holding a thin straw with your lips. Pulling out your lips, get a very small hole through which you exhale with maximum tension. You should feel a strong echo of this tension right under your chest.

9. When exhaling, control the position of the chin. It should be directed upwards, and exhale without lowering your head.

10. When exhaling, do not relax the buttocks, make sure that they are in tension until the air is completely out of the lungs.

11. At the last stage, make three control sharp exhalations. The head is also in an elevated state, the buttocks are tense. The goal is to completely free the lungs for the next cycle. With such movements, your abdominal muscles will be in good shape, involuntarily contracting.

These eleven points are the basic oxysize breathing exercise, which must be performed four times in a row. As you perform breathing exercises, your body's metabolism will accelerate, and additional oxygen will flow to the tissues of your body.

In addition to losing weight, this oxysise technique is recommended for people who are intensely engaged in sports or hard physical labor. Their muscles, experiencing serious stress, will recover faster thanks to the above technique.

However, not everything is as rosy as Jill Johnson herself describes the results. In order to show the effectiveness of the program, the author «slightly» embellished the resulting effect and statistics figures. For example, the author claims that oxy-sizing is a full-fledged substitute for fitness. To put it mildly, this is not entirely true. Even from the analysis of breathing exercises, it can be seen that not all muscle groups are involved in the process. In addition, the intensity of the load is low, which is confirmed by the involvement of pregnant women and elderly people. That is why oxy-sizing would be more correct to consider as a warm-up series of exercises, and not as the main load on all muscle groups.

Now let's turn to the dry statistics. Ms. Johnson claims that in 20 minutes of gymnastics, a person will consume 1,000 calories. For reference: an hour of hard physical labor with full pay «costs» 700-800 calories. Physiologists say that it is simply unrealistic to spend 1,000 calories in 20 minutes, so the author's figures are significantly exaggerated.

And the last thing: No matter how colorfully the oxysise technique is described, its use alone will not be enough for effective weight loss. We recommend that sufferers add a small set of physical exercises to oxy-sise, which a specialist will help develop specifically for your physical condition and possible limitations.
