Little secrets for a gardener

Little secrets for a gardener

1. Iodine for cabbage. Add 40 drops of iodine to a bucket of water. When the head begins to form, water the cabbage under the plant for 1 liter.

2. Acceleration of germination. To make the seeds germinate faster, they are soaked in a solution of hydrogen peroxide (4%) for 12 hours (cabbage), and tomato and beet seeds — for 24 hours. To disinfect the seeds (instead of potassium permanganate), they are treated with 10% hydrogen peroxide for 20 minutes. The ratio of the solution to the seeds is 1:1. Then the seeds are washed and dried.

3. Tea for onions. Dry the tea leaves and store them for planting onions. Apply under each bulb when planting. The onion is not sick.

4. After the rain. The potato harvest will be three times larger if potato seedlings (10-12 cm) are hoed immediately after rain or heavy watering. Then additional trunks are formed, on which tubers will appear after a while.

5. Banana fertilizers. Take banana peels, pour them with water (for example, in a three-liter jar), wait for bubbles to form on the surface: water indoor flowers. The proportions are derived. You can pour water into old crusts by adding new ones.

6. Flowers by yeast. Dissolve 100 g of raw yeast in 10 liters of water. Water all plants, including indoor flowers, once a month. The result is excellent growth.

7. Garlic prevention. Garlic infusion strengthens the immunity of plants. Pour 4-5 cloves of garlic into 1 liter of boiling water and let it stand for 20 minutes. Add the resulting solution to the water for watering 1 tbsp. l. per 1 liter of water — for any plants.

8. Salty land. If the beetroot leaves are reddened, it means that there is not enough sodium in the soil. It is necessary to pour the beetroot with a saline solution. To do this, dilute a glass of coarse salt in 10 liters of water. This is enough to salt the earth.

P.S. Speaking of yeast. Last year, on the advice of gardeners, when planting seedlings, a tomato put a handful of crackers and wood ashes in the hole, in the middle of summer it was necessary to tie the garters of the stems to the pegs, the plants developed so much that the garters began to cut into the stem, I had not observed this before. The stems were up to 2.5 cm in diameter and 2 meters high (Cardinal variety) The yield was excellent.
