Villa Santo Sospir is not and was neither a mansion nor a palace. Located at the tip of Cap Ferrat, between Nice and Monaco, the villa seems to be just one of the many rich houses on the peninsula. For more than 50 years, the villa was the refuge of socialite Francine Weisweiler, a petite blonde who was familiar with all the famous people of that time: Yves Saint Laurent, considered her his muse and dressed her for free; Gianni and Marella Agnelli, frequent guests in this house. But, without a doubt, Weisweiler's most important acquaintance — in many ways her soulmate — was Jean Cocteau, who decorated the villa with his drawings together with Picasso.
